Our son had that problem one day. Walked into room, but forgot why. Said he accidentally solved it by walking backwards through the door – like a replay – and he remembered. I tried it a couple times and it seemed to work. But if it doesn’t work, backing through a second door doesn’t help.
This is so seriously very funny: My Grandmother taught me to go back to what I was doing, then go back to the room and I’d instantly remember what I needed from that room. I’m glad she taught me that: it makes being officially elderly WAY easier :-)
Never mind what I’m going into the room for, which room was I headed to? Oh well. A good friend of mine celebrating his 80th birthday was asked, “Being old sucks, doesn’t it?” He thought carefully for moment and replied, “No, no. Being old sucks. Getting old was fun!” I’ve often felt that might be the most profound statement I’ve ever heard.
I’m sitting at the table. I think of something that I want to look up on the computer. Go over to the computer, sit down, and can’t remember what it was I wanted to look for.
I don’t think I was like this when I was young, but I can’t remember. And we didn’t have computers then, anyway.
They say when you forget why you came in here, you should go back to where you started. I usually works for me, except I’m wearing out my knees running up and down the stairs….
In the past decade, more money has been spent on Viagra and on breast implants than on Alzheimer’s research. This means that in 20 years, we are going to have an entire generation with perky boobs and erections, but not a clue what to do with them.

“I’m sorry to say that I have two pieces of bad news for you.”
“Give it to me straight, Doc, I can take it.”
“First, I’m afraid you have cancer.”
“Oh, wow, what a downer. What’s the other one?”
“Sorry to say, you’ve got Alzheimer’s.”
“Man, that sucks. Well, at least I don’t have cancer.”

Well, at least no one is throwing bottles of urine and bags of feces.
Hmmm, or maybe they just forgot them?
