Maybe he’s trying to repel some of his base customers?

Andy would probably like smashed avocado—at least the smashed part.

Better meat pies, fish and chips.

Pork pies, scratchings or plain crisps, picked eggs and onions, scampi or chicken and chips, ham and cheese toasties etc …Where did you go?

I would avoid that place if I needed a meal.

Which one is Andy smashed, squashed or nuts?

I’ve never eaten a meal in a pub.

Only in a restaurant or cafe.

Yep, I totally agree.

I just stayed in again today. I don’t think I’ll be going out until Thursday which is when I do my volunteering.

I miss working full time.

I think that’s exactly Jack’s point: he needs to change his customer base to, hopefully, paying customers. Just trying to upscale, here, a little. That said, I personally wouldn’t go where there wasn’t bangers ’n mash.
