Snowball Taggert sighting in panel 3! He’s the richest, most powerful cat in town….but could he also be doomed? Tune in tomorrow….like litter in the kitty box….so are the days of Our IX Lives!
Georgia Dunn – Breaking Cat News FB post this a.m. about Elvis.Ten years ago today I adopted this handsome gentleman! My sister and I braved a snowstorm to drive up from Hope Valley, RI to Deerfield, MA. He was the kitten in his litter who “kept hiding and biting people”, but when I picked him up, he touched my face with his tiny paw, sighed, and fell asleep in my arms. “Oh, this is the one,” I whispered to Grace, and she agreed. (This is a hilarious story in our family now, as she vouches for me that he really was so sweet in that moment, haha!) He walked out of the carrier and into my apartment like he owned the place—and he still does. He’s a brilliant animal, follows me closely all day, listens and heeds most commands, obeys my whistles and snaps. He is terrible to company and terrific to us. Elvis is one in a million, and my life would not be the same without my constant guardian and companion. I love him so much! ❤️
Off topic but it was our turn for a wind storm today (well it’s the third one in just over a week but definitely the worst one) that caused a fair bit of damage – lots of trees down, roads blocked, houses damaged and electricity out. My Dad still went down to White Rock beach for his daily walk and sent this picture of the damaged pier:
https://imgur.com/a/2Kuor
A bunch of nearby boats broke loose from their moorings and were smashed into the pier taking out a section of it. One fellow got stuck on the wrong end and had to be rescued by a coast guard helicopter. Been wild and woolly in the PNW this month
Georgia is so expressive with cat ears! Look at how Angora’s little right ear is turned back just a little, as if she can hardly believe Kit said that.
Good morning, orbsters and orbabies! Yay! A glimpse of Our IX Lives! And Baba Mouse – I just love that old girl and wish we saw more of her.
Skykey, if you’re out there, please check in.
On another note, after swearing on a stack of Holy Books that I was not sticking my nose out until the 25th, my mother-in-law asked me to bring a cheese board for Christmas dinner, AND I still have to haul Paul, kicking and screaming and moaning and groaning all the way, to the hairdresser’s to get his hair cut before Christmas/the wedding. I am displeased and disgruntled, gentle readers.
Ok, I’m fairly new to this strip. Who is Baba Mouse? Why is she called Baba Mouse when she’s a cat? Where did she come from? Why would she rescue Agnes?
We ended up with another rescue kitten from the colony for Christmas. PJ’s littermate, Dorian, came up Monday and begged to be picked up – which she has never done in her life. She was ice cold and her nose was completely crusted from a respiratory infection. The vet said she wouldn’t have lasted the night if I had not brought her home. It’s been a struggle to get her to eat on her own – even though she’s four months old – but I think she finally turned the corner now. She ate her entire breakfast and went to the kibble bowl afterwards! Fingers crossed that we’ve got a Christmas miracle on our hands here. (She’s the runt of the litter, anyway, but she’s only about half PJ’s size.)
At last! Newbies get a glimpse of the greatest soap opera ever: Our IX Lives! And Kit Chase and Angora Taggart . . . a love story for the ages! =) [runs to put on her Kit Chase t-shirt]
