Local TV news reporter at a local ice cream joint outside showing people at tables. She goes on about families getting together for ice cream. Behind her EVERYONE IS ON THEIR PHONES! It was hilarious.

As movies and tv has done for years, it’s just a bunch of random dots and dashes that appear to be morse code.

I thought “shamus” was an old term for a private eye, or even a cop. The actual name should be spelled “Seamus.”
