Meditation helps. After meditating I am more relaxed and prepared for whatever comes.

Ecclesiastes 10:19 A feast is prepared for laughter, and wine makes life merry …Psalm 104:14-15 He makes the grass grow for the livestock and provides crops for man to cultivate, bringing forth food from the earth, wine that gladdens the heart of man, oil that makes his face to shine and bread that sustains his heart.

Plus you MIGHT just manage to forget all your worries and regrets with booze (although I never found it worked for me) – but you’ll certainly not be in any fit state to experience life as it comes.
