Thanks everyone for suggestions on getting my printer to work. I tried what HarryCK said about settings, but it didn’t work. I have not gotten popups about updates to my printer, but have had updates to Firefox and I hope those updates didn’t block my printer. What aggravates me most is that the printer worked fine one day and about 2 days later when I wanted to print something, I got that stupid message saying “printer cannot communicate with computer”. It gave me suggestions like unplugging the printer and plugging it back in, disconnecting and reconnecting the USB cable, restarting the computer, making sure the printer was plugged in and turned on. I did all those things. I’m using the same USB cord as I always have, plugged into the same USB port. This problem actually came up a few months ago, but now I wanted to be able to print letters for my Christmas cards so I really wanted to get the printer going again. I’ve gotten it to print alignment pages, but nothing else. I have just 3 more Christmas letters to write (I’m writing them in longhand) but I want the stupid printer and computer to start talking to each other again,

Good morning and happy Friday/TGIF, Graham Crackers. Well, a few of the kitties seem moderately concerned about the fates of Chesney/Chauncey and Jack. The other four kitties must be totally oblivious. I still think our two miscreants will end up either in the local shelter or a pet shop.

Alpha Cat Update

Alpha Cat continues to prosper. He has been seen taking food from the indoor bowl and leaving it outside where his skunk buddies are found. He also, occasionally, comes in with faint skunk aroma clinging to him; I have to assume he’s been hanging out closely with them.

Spring is going to be very interesting.

Our dear Annie needs a hat and headlamp. In the meantime, those boys are safe and warm and causing trouble somewhere nearby.

The second time’s the charm: Delivery and setup went smoothly and it runs quietly! The distributor must have sent Lowes a lemon last week. Now, it’s someone else’s lemon.
