    Why not just seal him up in a large plastic bag? That would be more humane than expecting him to jump through a non-operating glass window, fall 2 stories into a 6-foot deep pool and survive undamaged.

    To close to home. I’ve run out of rats stupid enough to fall for the old peanut butter trick. That life or death learning curve is effective at improving the intelligence of the rats.
