I love how the colorist has made Schroeder a blonde all over his head just because he was in the later strips. In these early strips, he only had a suggestion of a curl on his forehead, sort of like CB.

I always wondered about the roast beef line, myself, especially as a kid.
I never understood that one, especially the last line, "And this little piggy went ‘wee, wee, wee’ all the way home. Wee Wee what?
Porcines are omnivores mainly.
There is a variation to the rhyme, that the last "little piggy cried ‘wee wee wee, I can’t find my way home.’ "
