Mom always wins when it comes to bath time, CB.

Is there were Mr. Watterson came up with one comic strip where his boy complains to his mother making the bath water too hot, then too cold, then too deep (much to the boy’s mother’s chagrin)?

Ah, I think this is the strip I came in on! From now on, they’ll just be repeats of repeats for me….

Get a rubber ducky Charlie, it will make you feel a little better!

Quit drowning in despair and get it over with quickly, CB!

I didn’t mind taking a bath as a young child – especially if there were bubbles involved – as long as I was OUT of the tub before my mother started to drain the water. Yeah, I took that song “Alice, where are you going” far too seriously as a kid.

This is one of those rare Peanuts strips where CBs mom is part of it – even if she’s off stage.

Never bathe alone.

This same sequence was repeated in Calvin and Hobbes once…

I don’t remember ever having to get into a drawn bath. I remember always having to get into a bath as it was being drawn.

He loves taking baths. He just likes to complain.

I used to tell my kids stay in the tube until you get “prune fingers” They still laugh about it!

All seemed reasonable assumptions.

I’m pretty sure that Calvin & Hobbes has a very similar strip, less the last panel. A tribute to Peanuts, perhaps?
