Charlie Brown being an acclaimed violinist reminds me of anime violinist Kotomi Ichinose of “Clannad” (who’s obliviously out of practice).

All this lacks is Charlie Brown putting his hand on his chin and going, “Well!” ;-)

The boy said, “My name’s Charlie, and it might be a sin. But I’ll take your bet. You’re gonna regret, cuz I’m the best that’s ever been.”

When I first started playing the violin, the neighbors called and told my mom to keep the windows closed.

When not fooling around Jack Benny could play the violin well, unlike our poor little friend with the cigar box squawk box.

From Schroder’s looks in the final panel, I’d say he heard Patty and Violet over that awful racket Charlie Brown made.

Such detail and great colors. In the 7th panel, Snoopy sticking his tongue out makes my day (I’m easily amused).

I like that Charles Schultz used a treble clef for the S in his last name.

Trivia: the score shown is from the actual Chromatic Fantasy and Fugue BWV 903 by JS Bach – and there is no violin part in that work, it was written for solo keyboard (harpsichord, in fact).

When I first saw this strip, I didn’t get it. This is the first time I have.
