When I was a young child, all us kids (my siblings & cousins) would measure up to my grandmother, who was 4’10. “I’m getting taller than Memere!” When she died, I was an adult and inherited the title. All of my nieces & nephews would measure up to me (at 5’ even) “I’m getting taller than Auntie Karen!” As it stands now, I’m the shortest in 3 generations, and my siblings’ GRANDkids are measuring up to me!
The unspeakable virus came to my friend’s family and they spent about 6 weeks passing it around. When I next saw them, my favorite 12-year-old was quite a bit taller. I told her she was about to grow!
CS was really a genius for this kind of thing eh. Just childlike simplicity, a little competition, no big scene or punchline so to speak. Very refreshing right now ; )

I think every kid has done this at least once in their lives. I had long hair, so I always cheated with that.
