    When I played ball in a vacant lot with my buddies as a kid, we’d use large rocks as bases. I remember twisting an ankle rounding “third base” one afternoon, then coming back to play some more after dinner and twisting the OTHER ankle on the same stupid rock. Called it a day after that.

    Paper? Man, their rich. We just used rocks sticking up out of the grass for backyard pickup games. Little league we had real bases, but in the back yard we had on real bases. Rocks and any noteable spot in the grass we could identify. Didn’t make the best baseball diamond, but it was the best we could do.
