Oh wow it’s Charlotte Braun, we have made it to that point in Peanuts Begins!

She looks so funny! I love it when Schulz puts different hair on Charlie Brown’s face. Some of his funniest little touches.

Wonder why this character didn’t make it.

This should cause a few problems.

She was a short-lived character.

Do not remember her, that’s why I read peanuts Begins!

I’ve read Charlotte Braun’s name in these threads a shazillion times (okay, maybe only a quadrillion) but have never actually seen her until this strip.

Because she ventured into Lost Comic Strip character land with Lyman and Uncle Max.

Never see her again

I think her father’s name is Howard. He appeared in the Dilbert comic strip occasionally. ;)

She kinda looks like an early drawn version of Frieda (naturally curly hair).

I do not recall this character at all. She must have had a very short stay in Sparkysburgh.

I never came across this character until she appeared in “The Complete Peanuts” book series. She never appeared in any of the Peanuts collections or compilations I had growing up. I can certainly understand the negative audience reaction and why Schulz decided to drop her, but I have to admit that discovering this failed character was a sort of revelation, like when scientists discover living members of species thought to be long extinct.

Charlotte Braun never appeared in the Sunday comics, so now I wonder who decided what color her hair was?
