Back in the early 1990s, Jason Mecier was one of the two lead singers of a San Francisco band called “Enrique.” They were at the forefront of the 1970s retro craze. Not sure if you’ll be able to see this if you’re not one of my Facebook friends, but here’s a video:

If you can’t see it, send me a friend request or let me know and maybe I can change my privacy settings or something. Facebook confuses me.
It’s about Barbara Newhall Follett, a child genius who published several books. Her first was written at age 12 and published in 1927 to great acclaim. After many trials, she walked out of her house one night in 1939, age 26, and completely disappeared, never to be seen again. A completely tragic story. Even her picture on the story somehow looks sad and haunting.
First there was the day when they encased peanut butter in chocolate. Now…a lady dipped in chocolate. I always like when I can nibble on two of my favorite treats at the same time.
Hmmm,,, power, control, family dysfunction,, combine with the barrage of cultural images related to body image - have we an eating disorder in the making??
Or am I reading too much into this - maybe it’s just about a little girl and her snickerdoodles…

Oh, I know all about the cookie army. They are a cruel lot, laying waste to trays of cookies in a single night and dropping the crumbs in my shorts.

Family is even harder to escape than the law, and the law won’t make cookies and then forbid you to eat them.
