PS: Did you notice the grandparents were packed and ready to leave the very minute the parents came home? Might be the last vacation John and Elly get to take.
mythreesons, no I didn’t notice that. I only saw John and Elly’s bags as they all were leaving the terminal and walking to their car in the delightfully frigid Canadian weather.
Yeah, the joys of home will be so appreciated when John gets back to work and Elly gets back to her homemaker routine. But then, if we were all on vacation all the time, I guess it would be as boring as real life. I’m willing to find out if somebody wants to provide a grant to finance the experiment.
GretchensMom I hope it’s not by choice that you don’t call your dad. I lost mine 5 years ago and it still hurts and I miss him… If you can call, CALL!!!

Hugging your loved ones after being away is the best feeling ever. Makes me smile just to look at them.

It’s easy for FISHSTIX to post that on the frig. His frig goes with him anytime he wants. Lucky!

I was going for the lyrics, “Ever so humble, there’s no place like home.”

CarolinaGirls: I wish I could call my dad but he passed away from cancer 8 years ago at the oh-so-young age of 63. I miss him every day.
