No free ride when I was a sub. When they found out I had been in the military, invariably a student would ask if I ever killed anyone. my response was, “Not yet.” :-D
I laughed out loud. At home the dog was not allowed on the sofa. Once, coming home very silently (on purpose, I admit it) I suddenly called “I’m home!” and heard a double thump coming from the room. I found both my husband and the dog seating on the carpet in front of the sofa, one looking guilty and the other looking innocent.
