A different way of saying: Keep a new year’s resolution or keep my new Christmas hat.

He resolved to lose his Christmas hat.

And in about five days time practically all gyms will be empty as people’s New Year’s resolutions to diet and exercise will be broken by then.

“Officer Mike Chandler and a young civilian passenger find themselves unprepared and outgunned when fate puts them squarely in-the-crosshairs of a daring bank heist that is being carried out by a fearless team of highly trained and heavily armed men.”

If this kid made it a week and a half into the new year without blowing a resolution, OR made it 10 days without losing something, he’s way more put together than I am. But here’s something I haven’t lost track of: I remember what I was doing with Frazz’s t-shirt.

California State Route 211is sometimes called the Lost Coast Highway, even though it never makes it to the Lost Coast. It goes from Highway 101 near Fernbridge to Ferndale (I know, too cute). Not all the way to the Lost Coast, at least not by that name. Then it turns into Mattole Rd, which I guess is the road that was supposed to be 211, or even 101, until it was deemed just way to damned rugged and out of the way to be a numbered state or U.S. highway. But lord, it is gorgeous. One of my favorite places on earth, and I’ve only been there once. I’ve since frequently dreamed of living in Ferndale, at town as charming as the Lost Coast is rugged. Now I live within a few miles of another Ferndale, which is certainly fine and not nearly as far away from any kind of upper tier of urban conveniences. But ever since I found out that area existed and left it, a part of me has felt, well, a little bit lost.
