I don’t approve of this mockery. Senator Warren never said she was a Citizen of the Cherokee Nation. She said she was told she has Cherokee ancestors. I am a Citizen of the Cherokee Nation because my maternal grandmother was put on the Dawes Commission Rolls when she was 4 years old. A lot of people who actually Cherokee by blood here in Oklahoma had ancestors who refused to be put on White Man’s Rolls.

Sad to see Lalo Alcaraz peddling the TrumpubliCON distraction in attacking Elizabeth Warren unjustly. The whole “Pocahontas” fake scandal is an effort by TrumpubliKKKons to divert and distract attention from actual issues (corruption in financial institutions, unfair lending practices, income inequality, abuse of consumers and workers, universal public healthcare and free college public education) because you know that Elizabeth Warren’s views on these issues are right in the mainstream of what the general public wants and you can’t address why policies that are incredible successes everywhere else they have been tried in the industrial world wouldn’t work here.

Sad to see Lalo join the Trumpers.

FACTS that no one has disputed: 

1. Warren has only repeated the family lore she heard growing up in Oklahoma, where Indigenous tribes were nearby and intermarriage was common, that she had ONE specific NAMED indigenous American ancestor (O.C. Sarah Smith), her maternal great-great-great-grandmother.

2. Because of that single ethnic “impurity” in her mother’s distant background, her father’s family rejected her mother. Her mother and father eloped anyway, and her father remained estranged from his family.

3. Warren has told this story all her life, to explain her visceral repudiation of racism. But she has NEVER attempted to claim tribal affiliation or any kind of benefit whatsoever.

4. The DNA test is 100% consistent with Warren’s claim of ONE SINGLE indigenous American ancestor five generations earlier who is identified and has a name.

If the DNA test “backfired,” it is only because her actual claim has been distorted and misrepresented (read: LIED ABOUT) by dishonest liars trying to demean her but who can’t address her at the level of issues.

Senator Warren never claimed to have an ancestor who was a “Cherokee Princess.” There never have been any princess or even any prince in the Cherokee Tribe. I do have an ancestor who was a Cherokee Chief.

For something to be funny it must In some way be true. This is neither.

Yeh, Lalo has gone over to the Trump smearing campaign. I’m dropping out of following this strip.

Lalo sees Warren as some kind of poseur. I don’t agree, but accept his finding. Just pondering exactly who he wants Democrats to nominate. Several have announced, offering weak or no positions: Gillibrand, Castro, et al. Some have concrete ideas: Harris, Warren. Bold ideas win elections. The middle of the road gets run over by traffic from both directions.

Comics are supposed to be funny-this is far from funny!!

Mrs. Warren stands up for you every day. Why would you parrot Trumps garbage. It is our nature to attack what we don’t know or understand and that which we fear, whether or not the fear is reasonable. Carry on.

I think the cartoonist is actually trying to give you a preview of the Trumpists’ misinformation campaign in 2020 if Warren does get the Democratic candidacy.

Wow, Lalo makes a comic with a little criticism of Elizabeth Warren and the liberal commentators are ready to gut him, this country is so polarized we even have factions on both sides. Can civil war be far behind? I hope not, but sometimes I don’t doubt it.
