The Thelma and Louise reference is both sweet and disturbing at the same time. I remember when my niece, nephew, and step-son (all around the same age) would fashion their fingers like a gun and pretend to shoot themselves in the head every time they were mad or upset about something. I found that very disturbing and would tell them that pretending to commit suicide is not something to take lightly. Apparently, it was all the rage among kids their age. Instead of rolling their eyes like I used to do at their age, they would pretend to blow their own heads off. Very sad that things have escalated that much in our society. My son, now about the age they were at that time, knows not to do things like that and I’ve also talked to him about asking for help if he honestly starts feeling sad or helpless. I’m his mom but I would never judge him if he asked me to get him help.

Now, for the resolution – or dénouement, if you will!

I’m going to guess that they only know about Thelma and Louise through cultural references and have not actually seen the movie.

And, of course, mom is going to be delighted with the news.

“Heart and Kat”, I’d see the movie.

it’s not how "Thelma and Louise’ got started…..it’s how they finished

I’m happy the two of them patched things up. I’ve had a soft spot for Kat, ever since, way back, she confessed to a fear that a plane would fly into their building. We all have that, now.

I’m sorry it turned out like that for them…since I was really, really hoping that somehow Heart and the gang would get a chance to explain what happened and the drama teacher would step in and give her a second chance…

Uh, Heart tried talking. Kat was the one who tried shenanigans to get Heart to humiliate herself at school as punishment for thinking that Kat did a bad audition… I’m starting to understand now why Kat was never a real character.
