Tracy’s yankin’ Mordred’s chain quite vigorously.

Hasn’t Mordred’s character evolved wonderfully? Today he can openly express his feelings for Thick, face to, er, well, you know. And just a month ago he was this shy fellow who could only think about what he would love to tell Thick:

How long will Mordred and Tracy remain in the same spot calling each other names? Is Sam still playing with the telephones? Exactly how many policeman does the force have? Any of them on duty tonight?

Thats a lot of talk for someone in chains Mordred.

Ah, the plot thickens! Mordred reveals that Tracy is, in fact, a zombie. I wonder how long he’s been dead, and what killed him?

Maybe DT actually drowned but doesn’t know he’s dead yet. Happens all the time.

As for me, I wish “One Note Samba” Modred would cut with the empty threats and actually try to take out Tracy. Might bring this storyline to a merciful ending….merciful for the reading public that is….

Five weeks of no movement worthy of the name. How does Mordred kill his victims? With old age?

How far can they possibly be from a town? Not to mention from a road? They went into the water at a flooded intersection, which means there must be several roads here. They shouldn’t have any trouble finding one even in this rain. And I guess last week’s “rising water” threat is as forgotten as the victims’ next-of-kin and their death threats, or the one-time mention of Mordred’s associates.

barticle35, you may have something there. I wish Rod Serling would show up and explain what’s going on. Better yet, the Dipsy Duo could find themselves in “White Zombie.” Thick would be right at home working in Murder Legendre’s sugar mill. He could be the guy at 2:40:

“You fool, that ‘shanty’ is an outhouse.”

“It can’t be any viler than you.”

“Shut up, this is one house call the doctor needs to make, bad!”

I finally decided what the root problem is with this strip (among others). They must be paying Locher by the hour. Maybe if they only pay him for each story, we could get these to move along a little faster.

We already know that Mordred is smarter than Spacy because he is wearing goggles in the rain in panel #2.

I can see it now - tomorrow’s installment will be something like this :

Officer Timmy (at the intersection): “Tracy, we’re having a bit of a weather problem. Aren’t you supposed to be transporting a prisoner? And you are out here playing S&M again?”

Thick: “Heel, boy! Sit! Can’t find a darned fireplug when you need one.”

Officer Timmy: “For God’s sake, Tracy, keep your kinky fettishes at home, not out in public. What if the Daily Blog reporter catches you with your Boy-Toy?”

Thick: “Shut your mouth, you silly savage! Tess lets me have (literally) him. Aren’t his leathers simply ravishing? Ummmm!”

Officer Timmy: “Take care of yourself, Tracy. I see you have your rubber Batman suit under your coat.”

Thick, thinking to himself: “Now where did I put that pesky whip?”

Tracy is pulling Mordred’s chain, and Lamont Cranston is pulling Tracy’s necktie. It’s a procession. You can’t expect a procession to move quickly….

Whoop for joy ! Locher continues to meet his daily dialogue challenge !

This 2 party conversation has been going on for 5 weeks now, in over 90 daily panels - an ongoing demand for text to keep interest ‘alive’ - in a story hampered with little perceptible forward movement.

We’ve really had just two things, a lot of rain and a monsoon of meaningless talk

What will they TALK about tomorrow ? How the heck does Locher do it ?

Maybe Mordred bored his victims to death. If Mordred is such a killer, why aren’t the FBI looking for him when they didn’t show up for court?

Eventually something will happen, if only because Locher will run out of stupid things for the Dipsy Duo to say. “This isn’t snow!” Thick says. “It’s–ashes! Someone is burning thousand dollar bills!”

“No, you fool!” Mordred says. “Snow is the dandruff of the gods! I have summoned Zeus and Hermes to cause this flood! This darkness is their shadow, for today they take the form of giant mushrooms!”

Naw, that ain’t dumb enough for Locher. Not random enough. Maybe this week we’ll get a hint that someone is about to emerge from the storm and say something annoying. Or maybe the clouds will part, the full moon will appear and Thick’s missing beard will pop out.

The rain’s coming down so hard Mordred’s right eye is being washed down his face!

I’m begining to think that Mordred is Influence’s (1946) brother …

He kills his victims by ’TALKING’ them to their death. Locher’s done a convincing job

Tracy’s looking like he’s halfway there already

for a supposed action/adventure strip all we see are talking heads and threats. why hasn’t froggy taken this opportunity to chain whip thick and be done with him! we should at be seeing spacy squealing, running and hiding by now

Why does Tracy have to hold the chain. How far can this guy run with 40 pounds of chain on him during a storm.

Mordred says Tracy is dead.

We already know that.

He is dead from from the “Neck Up”

Mordred: “You’re a DEAD MAN, Tracy!”

Or at least he’s starting to smell that way…

It could be worse. They could run into Simon Penn.

If Locher knew people want Mordred to kill Tracy, would he care?
