Personally I prefer a thoughtful bunch of cilantro to a trite bouquet of roses. The cilantro is more personal

Some people think it tastes like soap. Apparently there’s a genetic factor that causes them to perceive it that way.

That’s cute. I love cilantro. I just made carnitas last night and put a bunch in while the pork was roasting. Gives great depth and flavor. I put it in my coleslaw as well. I have a friend who always puts it in her beef stew and it tastes amazing.

Unfortunately, I’m one of those few to whom cilantro tastes like dish soap. But, I understand it is very prevalent in Hispanic cooking!

What, you couldn’t give her a different type of flower?
