Wow, 8 frames on a weekday comic. Good going Darby. On a side note, I do my fair share of political commenting on political websites, but I don’t come here to do that. I come here for funny comments about a crazy cat and a corny dog. Carry on.
I remember that with my parents. I didn’t mind the spankings so much- they’re over fast and then I could get on with whatever mischief I was planning to earn the next one. Then they went to some classes and started giving me half hour lectures followed by “time outs” and grounding. Since the objective was to make me behave myself, gotta admit it worked. I’ll take pain over boredom any time.
Bucky’s “I’ve never seen this before in my life” line reminded me of what I thought was the funniest example of this type of response on the TV show “Cops”. After drugs were found in this guy’s wallet, which was in the pants he was wearing, he first says the pants aren’t his, then that the wallet isn’t his. When it’s pointed out that his picture is on the driver’s license in the wallet, he says someone planted the drugs in his wallet… ☺
Reminds me of a friend. He got stopped while we were driving around. The cop started with the usual “do you know how dangerous it is to speed” etc. He told the cop “just give the ticket and spare me the lecture.”

“Out of contacts”? Was that intentional on Darby’s part?

the lecture is the important part, the drawer thing is just there to let that part set in.

This may be the first time I’ve seen a daily strip done in eight panels!

What, and skip over Bucky’s “I’m just holding it for a friend” line?
