The truth is…

Women want men to fix things in their relationship emotionally… using their hearts and their heads. Right, ladies?

Men want to try to figure out how to fix things in their relationships like they would fix their Camaro ….. by the manual, and with tools if possible. ;-)

Now if all us supposedly sensible people would just form up on the double yellow lines between the speeding loonies in opposite directions, the loonies might begin to realize they aren’t gonna be able to make any real progress except to be able to keep racing in their respective directions. They would need to work with us if they wanted to make any directional changes to make society work. ’Course they could both just run us over…..

I often suffer from paralyzing ambivalence like that. Or maybe I don’t.

Is it so difficult? She simply wants him to express his love, verbally, emotionally, physically (big hug, etc.). It’s not baffling at all.

I try to live by a simple motto: “Say what you mean. Mean what you say.” My wife probably also has her own motto on the same subject, but I’m damned if I can figure out what it could possibly be.
