We are missing a panel – according to cartoon physics, he should have remained suspended in mid air until he looked down and noticed that he was no longer standing on solid ground. Only then, would gravity take over and pull down on his feet first stretching his body with the head beginning to fall a second or two later. Optional: head gear will remain suspended until the fallee reaches up and grabs it.
Also, in spite of what Galileo proved, anvils or boulders fall slower than people.

Wasn’t there a description of the Star Trek characters on the Starship Enterprise discovering the ACME planet? They spent quite some time studying and wondering about the weird laws of physics that prevailed there.
Wile’s bat suit actually worked until he ran into the cliff. Then as he peeled off the cliff the fabric from the wings got left behind and he fell down into the canyon with the classic sound fx.
Wiley’s got only partial information and a piece of paper printed about copyrights that still don’t exist anymore. But then the machinery built to aid them in reconquering the world is malfunctioning. So we get weirdness like this. Oh and these people have been engineered to be much tougher an more resilient than we can ever be. This s a faux past. We get plenty of examples.
I’m surprised he didn’t hear from the Wright Brothers. They spent most of their time suing everyone else trying to fly without getting a license for their machines from them.

It’s not for the wings, it’s for the hole in the ground from the fall.

Well, he didn’t invent flying but he seems to have come up with a pretty good shallow hole maker.
