The government tried to convince people and companies to start work early in the summer months. They rebelled because of government interference in their lives and business. However have the CLOCK tell you to go to work early in the summer. Well, that’s an entirely different story.
I don’t get how one hour could mess people up so much, it’s just not a big deal. Try flying back from Australia to the east coast of the U.S., that was rough.
Coffee shops should offer a free cup of coffee on Daylight Savings. But today is the day after and everyone should be back on track now. I never get off track. I start treating the day before like it’s already an hour later and go to bed accordingly.
I would vote to get rid of it for the following reasons: Not all of my electronics have figured it out; As a telco Toll Traffic Engineer once, it was a pain agreeing on the peak hour for circuits between Milwaukee and Phoenix, and Indianapolis then; The boy-scientist in me just finds it neat to find do-south at solar-noon local time with a vertical stick on a sunny summer day.

Isn’t this in reverse? At this time of year, people sleep in, due to forgetting to reset their clocks.

Sadly, there is only one worker, as you can see, as the others scheduled for that morning forgot to adjust their clocks.

Luckily, it always happens on a weekend. Just went to later church service that day, still got my 8 hours.

Time change is literally a significant public health risk with essentially no positive benefits to society. I think it’s time to change its existence.
