You know you can carry your phone and just leave it in your pocket. Also hit the “Do Not Contact” button while out.

I’m old and I admit I’m not a huge fan of all the modern technology. But I’m also a little dismayed. I was at a local restaurant the other night, and an attractive young couple was seated nearby. Both were intent on their phones through drinks, appetizer, main course. Perhaps I’m too old, but in my younger days, when I was out with a lovely companion, my attention was on them.

My coworkers can’t understand why I won’t give them my cell phone number. HR has it for Life or Death emergency only. I only give out my home phone as a general contact number. BTW, I leave my cell in my car when I’m at work, so I’m not disturbed there either.

I get that, Darsan54, but for me it’s all about trying to be in the moment. Which grows harder and harder with every new technological item we buy.
