And there’s no antisemitism in the US today, now is there? Jumpin’ Jesus on a pogo stick, there’s so much ignorant stereotyping and hate in this country that I am convinced that most people have never read a single page of religious text in their lives and think that the phrase “Do unto others” ends in the word “first.” Quit believing that fear mongering BS you hear that let’s people who are really screwing over hide behind it. Get a clue folks, the people who push you towards mistrust and hate hide behind all sorts of faces, races, and religions (or illusions thereof).
I think there are still states in the US where you have to have some kind of religious affiliation to be able to perform weddings. Recognition of secular officiants is slowly spreading, but the unchurched are still the group that most Americans trust least, even tho we’re now up to something like a quarter of the entire population — a WAY bigger group than Jews, Muslims, Mormons, Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs, and Baha’is combined.

I think they should have held out for Rev. Scott Sloan, “The fighting young priest who can talk to the young.”

You should become a Jewish Christian Evangelist for a megachurch. You’d be richer than you are now.

Religions are illusions – and life is too short to waste on illusions.

I myself hold a mail order ordination. Not to get out of Vietnam (unnecessary, since I was eight years old when Saigon fell.)
I am a minister of the Church of the Divine Elvis. (To be accurate, I am rather sure that I am the Church of the Divine Elvis.)
