Where in the country are strawberries in season now considering Janis was walking in a snowfall in January?

It’s opening day…the season hasn’t fully jelled yet…

So where is all the jelly? They didn’t just make it for themselves.

It was a berry good idea but they didn’t give it enough time to jelly.

Why does Gene still have blonde hair — what happened to his natural color?

So – If we’re going to focus on Gene and Mary Lou for a while, does that mean that Arlo and Janis can take the boat out for a trip down the coast?

Strawberries usually start here next week. The best berry stands are up and we drive past them daily hoping for the first fresh berries.

…it might be cost effective to take the business to the customers; I know they may have to get a different license for that, but for these one-off crops, maybe set up a small stand at, say, a busy gas station; good for them, good for the gas station owner…

They need a little pectin in their “soft opening”!

Dey got da Jelly Roll Blues…

I do the you pick every spring. I always end up with more than I intended to pick. I make strawberry bread and freeze it to enjoy all year. Cut up the rest and eat them on ice cream, froyo or just by themselves. About another 6 weeks for south east Virginia.

I thought the only place in the country that grew strawberries was here on the CA central coast.
