She should be stuck with a baseball team of brothers – including the bench-warmers.

If the parents can’t keep tabs on two children maybe they shouldn’t have had a third?

They both seem shocked. They’re both old enough to have noticed the mom was pregnant.

What year are we in in the original comic? I don’t recall Rerun being born this early.

My mom use to say “you pull out one gray hair and two more will grow in its place”!

“You can’t shovel water with a pitchfork.” That sounds like a wonderful philosophy to live by.

So, the story was that the parents were away delivering a baby brother leaving Lucy in charge. These parents leave much to be desired.

So you’re admiting you’re the devil.

I’m surprised by Linus’ surprise. Surely she saw mom walking around pregnant and preparations for a new baby. Unless adults truly are invisible in Peanuts world.

There’s always a kid in your crowd of friends when that age, who knows about babies and how you get them. They are usually quite willing to share the information with their peers. Someone would notice Lucy and Linus’s mom’s big belly, and tell them what is going to happen.

And Linus suddenly becomes the middle child….
