No, boys: it’s your dad’s new car, not a new toy for you to play with!

Besides, Joe and Marcy have a big family. Too big for that thing.

Relax, Dad. That crew could pick up Joe’s guzzler, too.

I figure that since it is all electric it only made it from the dealership to the house. No more juice so the boys have to carry it into the garage to charge it. lol

@fuzzbucket That thing probably weighs more than Joe’s car. 600-1000 lb. battery. 1200 lb.for a Tesla

True story: a friend was driving on rt 28 in Northern Virginia, during a snow storm in an economy car. Things looked bleak, until a yellow volkswagon stopped, and 4 Redskins linebackers got out. They said hello, each picked up a corner of the car, and carried it back to the road.

I went on a movie date many years ago in my Opel Manta. Buddies of mine turned my car sideways and pinned in between cars. But when my date and I came out the cars were gone and noticed they did something when I saw how the car was parked.

Electric cars don’t do so well in very cold weather.

Problem with an electric car is the distance it can travel without being recharged (and the recharge time). We drive to the Lancaster, PA area often. Every car, van, SUV, small RV we have had can drive there on half a tank of gas. The electric cars – even the ones with the longest distance claims – cannot make it there on one charge. And that is without the fact that lately the 3.5 hour trip is running closer to 5 hours. If one runs out of gas enroute (which we make sure will not happen) AAA can bring a can of gas so one can get going again. If one runs one out of charge – I am guessing that one has to be towed – and pay for the tow – to plug in and get it charged again.

Actually, electric cars weigh much more than their gasoline counterparts.

That’s the sort of car that I always feel should have a big twist-key sticking out of the roof.
