You just can’t change his mind can you Earl?
My kids were the same way. Sigh.
And I just hate maple flavor, no matter where it comes from (including “maple bars”, maple-flavored frosting on a “doughnut” bar). So, I’ll stick with my strawberry syrup or pear preserves, thanks.
Let it go Earl, if everyone liked the real stuff there would be a shortage and we couldn’t afford it.
I buy imitation maple flavored syrup. The real stuff now costs more than I’m willing to pay….but the real is the best.
Plain clear corn syrup is good on french toast.
kreole @ french toast should be eaten only with butter, salt and pepper.
Tate&Lyle ftw :D Quite like real maple too, though…
Waffles with Nutella and vanilla ice cream is the absolute tops, though!
One reason real maple syrup is high priced is that fewer and fewer producers are making it.
And I thought $15.00 was bad a good many years a go.
How sweet it is. \\//_
Waffles and French Toast should only be eaten however you want to, and ‘poo’ on anyone who says otherwise.
@dkaram - another reason it is so high is because making it is so labor intensive. And it depends on whether the season was good or poor.
I love corn, but couldn’t stand corn syrup or molasses. BLECHY!!!. Still can’t stand it. Horrid stuff. Give me that maple syrup.
Nelson, your logic is extremely flawed.
What? This kid does not like chocolate? Far Out, neither do I!
The boy likes it better because it’s what he’s used to. That’s “normal.” Real maple syrup is different, therefore weird.
my great aunt and uncle make maple syrup so I always have some. they are always happy to trade some for some of my chili sauce or jam __
