“I don’t fear death so much as I fear its prologues: loneliness, decrepitude, pain, debilitation, depression, senility. After a few years of those, I imagine death presents like a holiday at the beach.” Mary Roach

“Today I choose life. Every morning when I wake up I can choose joy, happiness, negativity, pain… To feel the freedom that comes from being able to continue to make mistakes and choices – today I choose to feel life, not to deny my humanity but embrace it.” Kevyn Aucoin

“To truly laugh, you must be able to take your pain, and play with it!” Charlie Chaplin

“There is a thin line that separates laughter and pain, comedy and tragedy, humor and hurt.” Erma Bombeck

“Pain is temporary, film is forever.” Michael J. Fox

My wife is in such pain at times. You never ask her what hurts..you ask what doesn’t hurt.

At our advanced age, pain is our body’s way of letting us know we are still alive.

There was an 88-year old woman at our church. If you asked her how she was doing, she would say, “Pretty good. At least I don’t hurt very much, except for all over!”
