Re the human(s) dressed up as animals on the Blog: Teresa, I share your ill ease with these videos, and surely couldn’t bear to watch them a second time. I think it’s the sense that the model (you can’t call him a dancer) is such a complete narcissist.
I throw my self at the feet of the gods! How have I displeased Vlad? I have lost all solace! I have been banished from frogapplau*! Must I languish in the cold and ice every Sunday till the Equinox? Maybe I’ll take up cheese making. Who’s got the rennet?

I think you hit upon it with your last sentence, coltish 1. The dancer/dancers did much posturing and twisting, and other than their costumes, did not give much sense of the animal, with the exception of the tiger, who appeared to be more housecat than tiger.
@naval97 - it has nothing to do with you. We all seem to have fallen into some abyss. emailed vlad but no response. can only wait and ponder the mysteries.
@SanchoGrubb. Vlad has responded to every email I’ve sent. Maybe he just doesn’t like you! I know it helped once to share my avatar name since my email identity doesn’t match up.
@SanchoGrubb Once again my search for uniqueness has been dashed. I will await the ceremonial opening of the gates. In the mean time I will consult with my cousin Screwtape to find other means to quicken my
downfall.

Japanese is an amazingly rich, but frighteningly convoluted language. I teach English to Japanese students on a full-time basis, and they struggle with some of the aspects of English that we would think most simple.
Is the Sapir-Whorf hypothesis valid? I can’t say, but I do know that different cultures look at the world in completely different ways.
@Old Wolf; I think Sapir-Whorf tries to make too strong a case for causation. Language is inseparable from culture and culture correlates with worldview but if we’re convinced we need a new word for a new concept the language has to adapt… ?
@Shytimes… That Phelps crowd thrives on hate. They’re just waiting for someone to go too far… like the guy who brakes in front of you hoping to sue you for rear-ending him… nasty folks.

always ALWAYS use the elevator. even if there’s a fire. you don’t want to run into unicorn/tiger guy in the stairwell!

I found the animal dude rather creepy myself. There is something menacing about him and his transforms.
Didn’t like any of them and never did watch the tiger.

I’m wondering if the animal makeup and antics is theater related?

Teresa has indicated that FAX has been hacked, and that Vlad is working to get things back on line.
The animal dancer seems to fall into a different kind of uncanny valley.

Notes for today:
Naval97, you’re just on the wrong cloud.
This FAX screw up is starting to twist a few knickers.
The chicken really stuck his neck out.
I made a deal with the my delivery service to ship the snowmen parts cheaply.
Now if you will excuse me I am looking at Sophia.

Thank you for mentioning that, Shytimes2. Bravo for our legislature. I only hope it helps. Such a beautiful little girl, it breaks my heart.
