I’ve found that watching TV is both boring and horrifying (sometimes simultaneously, as I’m horrified that a particularly boring show gets enough of a rating to continue). My life was complete before we owned a TV (yeah, I’m… experienced…); it was complete when we used the TV only to bring home (VHS) movies; and it’s complete now that my wife watches it and I sit in the same room. But it does seem to be trending toward more and more angst. Not sure if that’s the increasing role of TV in my life (now up to about 1%) or just the way things are in general.

All that guy ever seems to do at home is sit around reading the paper. Doesn’t he ever actually do anything with his kids?

Kate reads books, Danae is best left alone, reading the paper seems a good choice.

Not watching it but reading it with an actual newspaper. What a quaint tradition.

Minding your own business mostly means ignoring what someone else is doing wrong. Which often means ‘not helping’.

You must not have actually listened to the report because that is not what it said.

Being a boy, I know I’m “booger-brained”, but I will NOT admit that my business is “stinkin’”!
