My understanding was that Trudeau’s still-roughhewn pencil drawings have long been polished/finished/embellished/enhanced by a syndicate inker, to whom much (most?) of the credit for improved draughtsmanship belongs (and similarly for the improved lettering). I trust that someone better informed will correct me if I’m wrong.

I’ve been reading DB since the beginning. Still have my original pulps too. Though the paper is getting brittle. But, it’s been a GREAT ride!
