She’ll never get to Paris through all that fog.

I still don’t know if this is true love or schizophrenia. Had both. Acted the same.

PARIS? For film making? This isn’t the New Wave era anymore. She should go to some banana republic and film her epics there.

Every college kid dreams of making it big, in a big fun city. But after graduation, reality sits in and 90% stay where they are, and a third move back home with mom and dad

With Alex and Leo, the reality will be moving back home with Leo’s mom in the trailer park.

My engineer son-in-law is planning on retiring when my daughter gets her Law degree paid off. I think she’ll stretch Law School out as long as possible.

    @ babka from yesterday,

INFJ’s are said to be the fewest, with 1.5% of the population (vs. ISFJ’,s, said to be the most frequent at 13.8%). http://www.myersbriggs.org/my-mbti-personality-type/my-mbti-results/how-frequent-is-my-type.asp shows you a good representative chart on all types.

btw, Alex’s head-in-the-clouds today is the classic illustration of an “N” ‘s (Intuitive) perspective on life. Leo prefers to see life directly according to his senses - Alex looks for big-picture, sometimes undefined patterns.

I do hope that Alex keeps her Great American Dream to move to Paris and make films. She’s smart enough to have grounded herself in an MIT degree instead of wasting her time on a California film school MFA. Her plan of earning a lot of money and then begin to produce films is actually very plausible… at least until the kids show up.

The difference is that Alex knows she’s going to far. She needs someone like Leo to give her stability.

From ‘The Music Man’ - Head in the clouds, Feet on the ground. She’s the girl he’s glad he’s found

    She’s his shipoopi!

I think I still have a copy (someplace) of a strip or two from the Doonesbury “Baby Doc” Duvalier storyline from approx. 24 or 25 years ago. Would like to be able to read that entire story arc again, given the recent turn of events.

    What’s Alex been smoking?

Leo could always get in on the Bay Area music/studio scene with the BEP and Metallica, while Alex does her graduate work at Stanford and runs Apple and Pixar with Kim while Jobs is out … and Zonker can run a ”plantation” in Oakland.
