We have a DNC list up here in Canada, that’s just about as effective as a sieve. Which is why I started something in Feb or 2010 - I don’t answer blocked/restricted numbers, and I have “Do not answer” contacts with phone numbers of companies/people I don’t wish to speak to.
Thom you shouldn’t tell people you’ve known Doc for so long … then we’ll know you’re both older then my 30 years, which makes you fogies! LOL
In the old days, our phones didn’t have displays. They were attached to the wall and you had to pick one piece up off another and put it to your ear while you had to stick your fingers in holes and slide the holes one number at a time. They were as big as a speaker and they only did one thing. And sometimes you had to call another person to ask them to call the person you really wanted to call, and you had to pay them to do it. And there was something called “long distance”…
I’m enjoying the idea that he feels the rules don’t really apply to him. I’d consider getting someone to catch him on tape or on an answering machine and report him…
The good old days, I miss having real live telemarketers. The machines are no fun. Now, they even expect me to push buttons to figure out what they want.

Do not call unless you’re a politician, charity, or professional fundraiser using a charity’s or politician’s name to solicit private profits.

Don’t forget party lines, Coyote. Waiting for an important call and finding your neighbor camped on the phone!

When I was little, if someone called who I didn’t want to talk to, I could always cut the string & take my can home.
