I still remember the rocket that just missed the mortar round I was loading into the tube back in May, 1969.

    I really don’t think that you’d ever forget ANY shooter’s bullet…

This arc is NOT about the military. It is about every idiot who gets a gun and tries to kill everyone they hate. Happens almost every day now.

If women didn’t forget the birth of their first child, there wouldn’t be any second children.

First kiss. Attacked by a six-year-old girl. We were playing “spin the bottle”.

First time shot at in ‘Nam, remembered Churchill’s statement from Boer War “Nothing is as exciting as having someone shoot at you, and miss.” Had many more instances, and by my last week, when a dude started shooting at me while I was brushing my teeth. Watched the tracers, moved my position while brushing teeth, no big deal.

Back in the states, out hunting, and an idiot started shooting at us, didn’t stop when “requested” so put a round on either side of his body, into the body of his Blazer. Long story short; when he reported to a cop I tried to kill him. Cop responded that he knew my background, and that if I’d wanted him dead, the bullets wouldn’t have landed two inches on either side of him. He went to court, got six months in jail, and lost hunting privilege for life in California. It didn’t help him that I was in law enforcement, and his two buddies ratted him out for shooting at us and refusing to stop.

But the real issue here is, NOBODY should fear attending school, or a concert in Las Vegas thinking they’re going to be shot at, wounded, or killed. Gun regulation is NOT CONFISCATION, and we need more control to keep guns out of the hands of idiots, crazy or just stupid! (Not to mention criminals)
