Congress, we’re outraged that you have been ignoring the issues facing the average Americans and Congress has been focused on it’s own campaign interests. We are outraged that Congress and White House has rejected the basic American Constitutional interest – WE THE PEOPLE

Now if Pastis pulls one of his complex puns, we can all be outraged again.

One guy should say “Be outraged about this” and the other guy should say “Be enraged about this.”

Very like the “five minutes hate” sessions in Orwell’s 1984. The government sponsored daily rant sessions where everyone in a given work or school or social setting would shout angry slogans about whichever nation was this week’s declared enemy. Sometimes a bulletin would go out announcing that the former enemy and ally were not in opposite roles. People had to be careful to switch their rants to the new target to avoid suspicion of being subversive. There were always multiple sets of pro test signs available so that even in the middle of the hate rants one could throw down the old signs and hold the new ones aloft.

Oceania is our mortal enemy, Eastasia is our faithful ally !

No wait, let me rephrase that….

Just like antibiotics, overuse of outrage can reduce its effectiveness.

And that’s the WH’s secret strategy. To cause outrage fatigue and then exhaustion.

When you get outraged and upset about everything, in reality, you stand for nothing.

If, say, National Parks are Americ’s Best Idea, for-profit media is America’s Worst Idea. We shouldn’t let them be peddlers of outrage.

Until they are voted out of office, America and Americans are doomed to tolerate the scums running the country. Sadly voters are lazy…they vote for all the familiar names and never research the new guys. So we’re stuck with Mitch the dead, useless turtle, all his followers, the village idiot in the WH, his clueless, opportunist family, the dumb cabinet members, and the Dems who are still looking for their spines. Politicians spend all their days raising campaign money for themselves, plus they get millions in bribes from all the big Corps, big Pharma, Big Agra, and last but not least The treasonist NRA!
