    Evidently, if I’m interpreting the radiating lines in the middle panel correctly, the light bulb was lit in the brief moment of popping into existence before the fan got it, even though it wasn’t connected to a power source.

    If Horace can think up a bunch of those in an area where they have something soft to land on, and no hazards overhead, then he should be able to save on his electric bill. Screw them into a lamp just to put them in a convenient position, but leave the lamp unplugged.
