Peter: You've calmed down since this morning. Jason: Wel, it's dawned on me that this must be a dream. Think about it- if I'd really metamorphosized into a miniature Paige, the X-Files division at the FBI would've sent Mulder and Scully to investigate by now. Peter: Keep in mind they only examine paranormal events suitable for a mainstream network television audience. Jason: Curse the infallible logic of my subconscious! Peter: I mean, there are mutants, and then there are mutants.

There are times where I might enjoy being a lady. They’re the only ones allowed to wear skirts that leave little to the imagination.

COLT You are making a big assumption that Jason knows the physical difference between sexes besides females can throw frying pans with more accuracy. Oh, thy can also find better lawyers.

Misogyny must be on the rise. I believe that it is co-efficient to the man hating issues that are floating around. However, hating men is okay and all the rage.

Ladyfingers86 you said a mouth full. I agree with you even on age discrimination. You said about the inside what a female goes through also included the outside as what we go through. Appearance. I am through with those monthly’s no hot flashes yet. I also have a part time office job an cannot get full time. What about the work women go through to improve themselves from cosmetics to schooling to show all what it takes to move on.

ladyfinger86: You need it down, I need it up. I figure we’re both smart enough to figure out what to do with it when we get there.

Man-hating actually isn’t as popular as it was a few decades ago. A few decades ago it was popular as a reaction to centuries/millenia of not-entirely-fair treatment of women (and occasional women-hating). Those women worked very hard to ensure that their daughters would have a more equal treatment in life than they did, and that their sons would have a fair appreciation of women’s abilities. A lot of the younger men and women/boys and girls I run into seem to have a better understanding of each other than their parents did, and neither man-hating nor women-hating are particular popular among that demographic (except perhaps in the cases of post-breakup anger, and also in the case of cooties).
At least that’s my theory; perhaps I’m generalizing too much. BTW I’m a woman in science, in a work environment with a fairly equal gender ratio, and I think the treatment I get in the workplace is very fair (including pay). (And everyone gets along very well, too.) So the situation is looking brighter than it once did.
