Whoever thought up that idiotic phrase, “golden years” did not know what it’s like to be old.

For Brutus, they are black and blue from the abuse he receives at work and at home.

Those “golden” years are rusty for most of us.. but the degree of rust.. similar to a squeaky hinge or outright seizure.. varies.. daily.

At first, it looked like “uncleted”… Brutus has lost his cletes?(Yes, I know it’s spelled “cleat”, although “Wordnik” says “clete” is an obsolete form of “cleat”)… ☺

Nothing golden about arthritis: complete spine, knees, shoulders, hands. A great deal of pain.
