My dog would have swallowed the squeaker, then six hours later would have played a strange and mysterious tune in the backyard.

Our granddog, Bellatrix, will rip the stuffins out of a toy, until she can get the squeaker out, then, the toy is done for…either she ignores it completely, or finishes it off by tearing it totally limb-from-limb. No in-between: done or mincemeat!

Our newest mutt is an evisorator. Every day, more stuffing on the floor. He’s completely gutted Filthy Girlfriend (a stuffed cat).

Our Mini-ch-ch (RIP) could remove the squeaker from inside a stuffed toy without damaging the fabric.

Turd just chews them enough to poke a hole in the squeaker. He likes the clicking sound they make after that.

Moxie is older now, but when she was into toys, she could destroy about anything very quickly. It’s amazing how much stuffing can be in one of those little toys.

Mine loves squeaky toys. He doesn’t destroy them, but eventually wears them out so they lose their squeak. You do get tired of weekaweekaweekaweekaweeka……….

I know 3 puppy dogs who love squeaky toys. I buy them on sale 2 for 1 so I can keep them for each time I see them. One of them is a dachshund at the jeweler up the street & if I don’t come bearing a toy he gets mad at me. The last time I walked into the shop & squeaked it. Out he came, grabbed it & ran back to his bed. A minute later he was back, sitting behind me. Apparently he had forgotten to thank me & rolled over so I could scratch his belly. So sweet that Mojo!!

Years ago, my wife and I had got a Wishbone stuffed animal that would say “Reading is fundamental” when the proper place was pressed on it. We gave to our dog as a toy. Somehow the dog found that spot and would bite on it at all times. In the middle of the night we would hear “Reading is fundamental. Reading is fundamental….” all night long. That doll was tough. The dog could (or would) not tear it up. We had run it throught the washer and dryer, yet, still in the night we would hear “Reading is fundamental. Reading is fundamental….” over and over again.
