Earl just summed the politicians’ game plan – make sure the constituents will not appreciate the politician and their efforts to support their big money supporters, then the politician won’t be expected to do anything more to assist their constituents.
Anybody remember the tale about the elderly wife who poisoned a pie, then told her hubby NOT to eat it because it was for her club? The guy, of course, being a glutton and just downright ornery, at the whole thing anyway. . .Hitchcock? Twilight Zone?
Way back the Thanksgiving family party cooks knew I could eat a whole pumpkin pie with bonafide cream atop, so they made more. Now in my December years with type 2 diabetes, I should have eaten more.

I hope Earl didn’t cut a slice and gave himself the remaining section (like he cut one-eighth and gave himself the other seven-eighths)

Peach pie? Normally I’d rag on Earl for this but peach pie is a different story. All bets are off when it comes to peach pie.

A homemade peach pie would have been wasted on a Book Club. A box of Twinkies would do just as well.

Never leave a man alone with a freshly baked peach pie (or any other kind for that matter) .
