Well, I did just come home with a kiddie wading pool that I hadn’t gone in there for. But, since the grandson is coming over on Sunday and it will be 90 degrees in the shade….
Funny that the reality did not even include the tiny shovel in the expectation. I sort of do the same thing when shopping on-line. If there is a specific item I want, can get it for $10, but then I find where I can get 10 for $40, I’ll buy 10 because it is such a good deal.
It is the same at grocery stores. Go in for bananas, bread and milk and walk out with a week’s worth of groceries. And, at no time did you get a basket or cart.
I have the same problem at the grocery store. I’ve come home more than once with a $35 gallon of milk!
Two tricks I have found work for me. One: only take enough money in your hand to pay for the thing you need. Two: carry a shopping bag and don’t grab a cart. If that bag of chips won’t fit in the bag, it stays on the shelf.

Amazing. Is it really like that with target in the States? When they came to Canada, they were so overpriced and uncompetitive they didn’t last long.

Make a list and stick to it. If you see something that is not on your list think about it and put it on your next list if you really need it.

Probably forgetting the one thing you went in for, too.

First item on the “ToDo” list you bought? Buy a spatula!
