I like this one. You should get the crowd from Non Sequitur to comment on this. They’d be all over it by now. Me? I’m not touching it. I will say that the Wiz is usually not so political.
Snopes may not be perfect…..but nothing is…….but it’s way ahead of second place……and was started by a republican……who no longer votes so as to counter bias claims………and as for all the “ liberal media “ claims……me thinks you do protest too much, truth hurting these days ?
Ah… Snopes. Read up on it after the divorce. See who has control now and what their background is. Debunking is not their priority. Not a dependable source of information any longer.
Snopes used to be a fun urban legend-debunking website, but it’s useless anymore. Their political “fact checking” is anything but. Their specialty lately is the straw man, and phrasing the claim so they can call it “true” or “false” as they desire.
If you look at their history regarding The Babylon Bee, it’s hard for a person of intelligence and integrity to believe Snopes consistently puts accuracy above partisanship.
If they truly believe that The Bee is a misinformation site masquerading as a satire site, they’re idiots. (Or to be kinder about it, acting idiotically, due to partisan zeal.)
If they don’t truly believe their claims about The Bee, they’re liars. (There’s no kind way to put that.)
The ridiculous levels of partisanship that have afflicted some of the more conspicuous Democrats and Republicans have rendered many otherwise sensible and decent people incapable of being objective about either of those two parties.
I do wonder what they will do, if they come to their senses in 2 or 5 or 15 years. Start behaving better, but make no mention of their past behavior? Repent, change their ways, and apologize to those they’ve wronged?
Probably the former, in most cases. But it’s better than continuing in their folly, so I’ll welcome it.
