Now who is going to pitch.

If Snoopy learned to calm down instead of run around, Charlie BRown’s finger wouldn’t be stepped on by the vet

Poor Charlie Brown, the bad news add up. Lucy does not look very satisfied.

And in a long sequence of cause and effect, Lucy can now say: “If you hadn’t thrown me off the team, you wouldn’t have hurt your finger.” :-)

For minute there I was afraid he was going to say that Snoopy bit his finger.

Ouch! I felt that in my own finger!

Poor Charlie Brown is always getting stepped on.

You’d think he’d be raging at her for getting his dog hurt and losing him the game.

All this is Lucy’s fault…if she had been a better player, she wouldn’t have gotten kicked off the team…and she wouldn’t have been bitter about it, causing Snoopy to get hurt, to have to go to the vet and Charlie Brown getting stepped on!

The vet should watch where he is going…

There is a wonderful Peanuts Sunday strip where Charlie Brown is dreading taking Snoopy to the vet. The last panel shows Snoopy standing and quoting the wonderful ( and most appropriate) line from Shakespeare’s Henry V:

He that outlives this day, and comes safe home,Will stand a tip-toe when the day is named.

Now, before anyone else read the last panel, were you thinking what I was thinking?

I wonder if the vet charged him some outrageous fee to fix CB’s stepped on finger? Vet fees have risen so high, you think twice before getting a pet. Add in grooming, toys, treats, town licenses, shots, flea & tick meds, and of course food, and the proper upkeep for a pet can be a strain on the old budget! Some pampered pooches may have a preference for fancy duds to wear.

Why isn’t Charlie Brown mad at Lucy for what she did?!!

I’m a Veterinarians assistant, and believe it or not that has happened to me.

if she would have kept her mouth shut in the first place nothing would have happened to snoopy

Accidents Happen. I was once installing new front highway pegs (fold up footrests) on my Bike and thought,I better be careful and not close my finger in them while installing. Guess what ? You are Right ! This “Dummy” reached over to test the left one and Pinched the you know what out of his left index finger,cutting it and drawing blood. It hadn’t been 5min since I had that thought ! " And Here’s Your Sign ! " DUH!!!

All Lucy’s fault. :-D

Another bad luck. But Charlie is a fighter!
