My dad used to keep me and my brother entertained with a game of “Alphabets” – watching roadsigns for A, then B, then C and so on. Quaker State Motor Oil was always a prize (QRSTU). What was annoying was that he was watching the road, and would still usually win!
A VERY long time ago, my mom found these car games for us. They consisted of a layered cardboard card covered with little sliding plastic “doors”. Under the clear plastic was a picture of something that you might see out on the road. Winner was the one who opened all her windows first.

But if you fly too high, you will miss out on all the scenery you could have seen at ground-level.

Mom always brought activity books so we would not get bored. I did not travel well until I learned to ignore them and look OUTSIDE THE CAR.

Once upon a time, Burma-Shave entertained everyone on log trips.
“HE PLAYED
A SAX
HAD NO B.O.
BUT HIS WHISKERS SCRATCHED
SO SHE LET HIM GO"
— Burma-Shave
.
WHILE WE’VE SHAVED
SIX MILLION OTHERS
WE STILL CAN’T SHAVE
THOSE COUGH DROP BROTHERS"
— Burma-Shave
.
“DON’T TAKE
A CURVE
AT 60 PER
WE HATE TO LOSE
A CUSTOMER"
— Burma-Shave
.
“DON’T STICK
YOUR ELBOW
OUT SO FAR
IT MIGHT GO HOME
IN ANOTHER CAR"
— Burma-Shave

Haven’t seen wild biker Rose but 2 times this year. The last was May 31. Maybe she is off riding her Harley.
