I woke up very early in the a.m. and never took naps as a child, which my mom complained about for 50 years. I was never sleepy during the day because I was put to bed at 7 p.m. but she apparently never figured this out. Naps were not discovered until I went off to college and have been an integral part of life ever since.

…the heavy lifting or lying or napping or snoring.

OK, I’ve read all my comics now, time for a nap!

Hey, when you’re our age, naps are a necessity. But I’m much older than Earl.

As the batteries get older they need recharged more often ;-)

Childhood is when you don’t want to take a nap, and they make you. Adulthood is when you really, really want to take a nap, and they won’t let you.
