The writers of those articles obviously never met Buzz Aldrin, who as I understand it, literally socked a moon-landing-denier in the nose at one point.;-D
My grandfather went to his grave refusing to believe the moon landing ever happened. He was born in 1898, remembered hearing the news of the Wright brothers, saw aircraft in action in World War I as a doughboy, the rise of commercial flight and aircraft, the early NASA astronauts, but the moon landing was just too much for him to accept. I cannot find it in my heart to blame him for that. I am not endorsing deliberate ignorance by any means. But for one individual, I can understand.
The moon lands g happened because JFK saw the US was losing the space race. He made a great speech that promised to put a man on the moon, that rallied and inspired the entire country to work towards that goal. In the end, Kennedy’s promise was kept, although he was not there to see it. The moon landing remains a uniquely American accomplishment.
The artwork today got a save from me. The “liberal” saying he was convinced that moon landings are fake would get him a black mark and red F- from me. That should have been out of Carmine’s mouth.

Have to admit, I gotta agree with this one.
(Granted, not everything on the Internet is bad – but the Internet does seem to allow more bad things to happen, and to happen worse than we remember)
